Little Falls, also known as Little Falls on Wilson Street and Waterfall on Wilson Street, is a Terraced Ribbon Cascade. It is 7 metres tall (23 feet) and its crest measures 1.2 metres (4 feet), although the crest widens out lower down to 3 metres (10 feet). It experiences its strongest flow during rainstorms and the winter snow melt.
This waterfall is located on a tributary of the Ancaster Creek.
History
Little Falls was first featured on the poster “Waterfalls of Hamilton Seasons” in 2002 and was called Waterfall on Wilson St. at that time. In 2004 the Hamilton Waterfall Group assigned the name of Little Falls to it.
How to get there
To view this waterfall, drive up Wilson St. towards Ancaster and just past where the two lanes upbound merge into one lane. Little Falls is located on the east side of Wilson St. at that location.
Little Falls can be viewed from a car when driving upbound on Wilson Street if the leaves are off the trees.
